The initial two sections discuss technical aspects, radiographic views, general approach to congenital heart diseases, assessments of vascularity, cardiomegaly, pericardial and skeletal aspects to be seen in chest X-ray. The emphasis has been made to compile all the objective parameters for the assessment. This also endeavors to help guide systematic evaluation of a chest radiograph so as to pick up all the relevant information in it. The third section of the textbook details the individual cardiac lesions with respect to X-ray evaluation. Fourth section unique describes differential diagnosis of heart borders, great vessels enlargement, dextrocardia and massive cardiomegaly. In the fifth and sixth sections authors have refined and described the post-intervention assessment of the devices and stents, assessment of the postoperative patient, etc. The chapters on postoperative chest X-ray assessment may be of particular interest to cardiac intensivists and those dealing with postoperative cardiac patients.
